Family Session | The Boyd Family | Changing Tides Stables | Wadmalaw SC

Charleston, South Carolina fact: if you are heading west on Maybank Highway and pass Main Road, you're headed to the country.  

Turning onto a well worn dirt road always invokes a sense of wild adventure to me, sort of like going back in time, and Wadmalaw Island is definitely the place to experience that.  Some of the most pristine farmland that still exists in the area is on Wadmalaw Island, including Rosebank Plantation.  Within the plantation is Changing Tide Stables, a beautiful sprawl of pastures and fields with amazingly picturesque spots around ever corner.

Here is where The Boyd Family chose to have their family session, and who could blame them?!  Tree-lined pastures, wildflowers, fences, a beautiful red-wood barn and a pony made for a wonderful afternoon with Whitney and Allen and their sweet little girl Haley. 

Biggest thanks to Laura Ross, the stables caretaker, for letting us borrow some time at the stables.  I hope to be back soon.
